Exploring the LEGO WeDo 2.0 Robot with Mission Moon Camp

Rising Grades 1 – 4

Hosted by Engineering Outreach and Recruitment

3,2,1 blast off! We are headed to the Moon. This camp is all about constructing your moon base so you can live, explore, and be a lunar scientist. We will also incorporate the WeDo 2.0 LEGO robotics kit to create a Lunar Rover, mechanical airlocks, satellite tracker, and other WeDo LEGO Education designs. Each day features a different challenge where you will build, test, and modify until you have designed the perfect LEGO creation. You will learn LEGO building techniques and utilize the FIRST LEGO League core values.

This is a two-week camp. The registration fee includes a specialty LEGO set with over 700 pieces and other materials required for the camp. You will also be loaned a WeDo 2.0 Robotics set for the duration of the camp. Please note: once the kit has been mailed to you, there will be no refunds if you cancel. Please use the pre-paid return label (included in kit) to return the loaner robot within 4 days of the conclusion of the camp. If not returned, you will be charged for the cost to replace it.

Discount option is available if you use your own WeDo robot and do not need a loaner robot ($30 value).

Campers must download the WeDo 2.0 Software/App to an iPAD, Kindle, or laptop. These are not included with the loaner robot. Campers should download and verify they have a compatible device prior to registration. https://education.lego.com/en-us/downloads/wedo-2/software
